Week 13

Last week was all about Easter despite the fact we don't even celebrate it. You start to realize how commercialized all these holidays have become when people like us are starting to engage in such activities. Everywhere you go, there is some sort of advertisement for Easter. The funny thing is you don't get to know what it really stands for unless you read about it. All you see are bunnies and eggs.

The kids obviously love the egg hunts and the goodies filled inside the eggs. The parents get involved in all of this because of the children. Zain is a bit too young for all of it this year but we still took him to a breakfast with bunny event around our area. Ofcourse, he was scared of the life-sized bunny (who wouldn't be in their right mind). We hardly got a photograph of him with the bunny. The other fun thing we did was an indoor Easter playdate at my friend's place. With all the kids being the same age it was great to have a friendly egg hunt in her living room because there was still left over snow in her backyard. I don't think at this age they really grasped the concept of the egg hunt yet but nonetheless they enjoyed playing with the eggs and opening them to find interesting things in them.

The weather is finally getting better and we enjoy going outside to play in the park or just take a walk around the neighborhood. It is so refreshing to be outside and not freezing to death. Here are my week's photographs:

Day 85
Very random silhouette selfie on a cold windy day

Day 86
Z watching his favorite show Curious George on TV

Day 87
Z and his buddy taking a ride in the ice cream van at the mall

Day 88
All eggs set for the easter playdate

Day 89
Spring is no where in sight, so we had an indoor egg hunt with the kids

Day 90
Library Fun; Z is standing front and center listening to his fav brown bear book

Day 91
Walking away from this winter towards spring maybe?

Happy Spring to all of you and lets hope for see some leaves and flowers soon. ❀
