Week 29 ( Jul 16- Jul 22 )

The highlight of the week was Eid-ul-Fitr☪ also known as "Choti Eid". This is one of two Eids we celebrate and comes after fasting for a whole month and therefore highly anticipated. We look forward to eating lots of delicious foods especially desserts. This year Eid fell on a working day so we didn't get to celebrate in the traditional way on the actual day of the Eid. However, we had decided to take a weekend getaway with a group of friends to just relax and enjoy.

We went to the White Mountains in New Hampshire and enjoyed a great time at a family resort. There were lots of activities at the resort and surrounding areas, so the time passed by quickly and we had a memorable time. The White Mountains area is very picturesque and I feel like each season it has something different to offer. I now look forward to the fall season when we will try to go there again and look at the colorful leaves.

The rest of the week went by pretty quickly with our usual activities. There was playgroup, park playdates and a trip to the mall for the day that was too hot. I can't believe after the winter we have had, we are already complaining of the heat.

Here are my photos from the week:

Week 28

This week was all about getting back into the groove, after coming back from our Euro tour. Summer is here in full swing and there is nothing better than that. The days are long and there are so many activities to do. We try to do one fun activity everyday to keep ourselves entertained.

My birthday also happened to fall during week 28. Once you are older you really don't want to count how old you are, but rather just spend a good time with the people you love the most. I was too tired from our vacation so I decided to have a low key cosy dinner with my loves and be happy.

Here are my photos from the week:

Day 190
I love this place, so serene

Day 191
Birthday dinner at this French Bistro was like deja vu of our trip a week earlier

Day 192
Zain at his best bud's birthday party, enjoying a juice box together

Day 193
Somebody stop him!

Day 194
Random street art

Day 195
Steering clear of trouble is he?

Day 196
Coloring fun at home
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my post. Have a great day☉

Week 27

Our Europe vacation continues this week, with a road trip through picturesque Switzerland countryside and southern Germany. From the valleys, to the tops of Alps, the natural beauty is breath taking. I had imagined and seen photos of the places we were planning to visit during my research but I was not prepared for how incredibly beautiful it was in real. A must see area for people who like to travel the world. Here are my photos from this amazing week 27 of the year.

Day 183
The beautiful Interlaken region in Switzerland full of incredible mountains and lakes.

Day 184
Take a view of Top of Europe from the summit of Birg in Switzerland

Day 185
Cruising Lake Lucerne in Switzerland

Day 186
The Neuschwanstein Castle in Hohenschwangau, south Germany was the inspiration for Walt Disney's Cinderalla Castle.

Day 187
A day in Zurich, Switzerland

Day 188
Back home catching up with friends at a park playdate

Day 189
The fun never ends!

We came back from our vacation this week. In some ways it seems too short but in others it seemed too land during which we had seen so many places. We had a great trip over all and for those of you still afraid to travel with your toddlers, I would say ditch the fear and take the leap. I promise, it is worth the trouble ☺︎

Thanks for checking my blog. I will be posting more frequently till I catch up with my weeks. Happy Tuesday!

Week 26

This was hands down the best week of the year for me and my little family. We went on our first international vacation with our toddler and boy did we have fun!

I have been lucky to have visited a lot of places. When I was younger we lived in Paris for two years but I was only 4 years old and I have very very vague memories of our time there. So although this was my second trip to Paris, I really experienced it as a first. I have a lot of photos from when we lived there and love to look at them. I wanted to make sure we got tons of photos of my son, Zain who is only 19 months, so later when he grows up he will have these photos to relive his first Euro trip with us. We had quite a few stops in our mini Euro vacation. Paris was the starting point. From there we took a train to Brussels, Belgium. Then we took a train from there to Amsterdam, Netherlands. From there we flew to Zurich, Switzerland and then drove to Luzerne. This was all done in this week 26 and it was fantastic. I am going to write about our vacation in detail if I get some time. Right now I am just trying to catch up on my 365 project so here are my photos from Week 26.

Day 176
Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, built eight centuries ago, still stands in all its glory

Day 177
Arc de Triomphe in Paris was commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 as a tribute to the French army. I tried getting some light trails.

Day 178
The Arc de Carrousel is the arch in between the Louvre and the Jardin de Tuileries.

Day 179
La Grand Place or De Grote Markt, is an iconic square in Brussels, Belgium

Day 180
The night view of typical beautiful Amsterdam buildings along a canal.

Day 181
I Amsterdam slogan at the back of Rijksmuseum is also a self portrait. Can you spot me?

Day 182
The lovely medieval Kapellbrucke or Chapel Bridge, in Lucerne, Switzerland, is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe

Hope you enjoyed these highlights of our trip. These don't even begin to show the beauty of Europe and how much it has to offer. You must visit yourself and experience the culture to really understand it fully. Keep reading my blog and come back soon for the photos of Week 27. I will be posting them soon.

How we love our books and libraries

Here is my article published on Boston Moms Blog

Reading has been on of my favorite hobbies for as long as I can remember. Sadly, since having a child of my own I have not been able to finish a single book. However, thanks to the internet available on every mobile device, I do read the trending articles whenever I get a chance. Read more...

Here is my DIY article published on Boston Moms Blog

Whenever I watch a cooking or home improvement show on TV, I imagine myself being able to effortlessly mimic their results. Of course, I never follow through. So I recently promised myself I would attempt each project I like, one by one, no matter how long it takes. This project was one such thing on my to-DIY list. Read more...
